This project features educational resources that I have designed for Sri Guru Angad Sahib Ji Gurmukhi School/Escuela, based in Spain and England. This is a school that teaches the Gurmukhi (Panjabi) language to both children and adults through blended learning. In addition to Content Designing, I am also a teacher at the school.
Alphabet tracing resources have been designed to suit all age ranges as these are a great starting point for beginners. This helps students to gain familiarity with the letters and get into the practice of letter formation. As there are students based in Spain and England, I have created resources with both Spanish and English transliterations to ease and accommodate their learning processes.
Activity worksheets below have been aimed at the more younger students. Providing examples of similar activities that they may come across in their English or Spanish learning, it also gives them the opportunity to learn the names of animals and objects in Panjabi along with writing.
The short video segment below is a WIP, this is also for all age ranges. With the increase of motion graphics and videos in classroom’s and social media, I felt it was important to design an engaging video which includes how to write each letter, how to pronounce each letter and gives an example of a word/object that begins with the letters shown.
Software used – Adobe Photoshop, Adobe, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe After Effects.
