This was a self-guided project assigned to my group during our 2nd year of university. A nutritionist and professor of the Health & Life Sciences Faculty of our university required a redesign from scratch of a previously published recipe book.

I was the team leader for this project which lasted two semesters. Along with the cover designs of the book, I worked with my team to write the context inside the book, format the pages using Adobe InDesign, experiment with text and image compositions, retouching of images used in the book and on the cover/back using software such as Adobe Photoshop, running test prints and choosing materials/paper types for the final publishing.

This project expanded my knowledge of the design and development process, along with enhancing my communication skills with clients and companies outside of our classroom environment. It allowed me to independently move closer to what work life would potentially be as a Graphic Designer.

Software used in this project – Adobe Photoshop & Adobe InDesign.
